RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia will stage the 2026 FIFA Series at Jakarta’s Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK) in late March 2026, marking the first matches in charge for newly appointed head coach John Herdman.

The Indonesian Football Association (PSSI), through National Team Agency (BTN) chairman Sumardji, confirmed that the biennial international tournament will be played at the country’s largest stadium.

“(At) GBK (Gelora Bung Karno),” Sumardji said in Jakarta on Thursday, February 12, as quoted by Antara.

The 2026 edition of the FIFA Series will feature Indonesia hosting three teams from different confederations: Bulgaria (UEFA), the Solomon Islands (OFC), and Saint Kitts and Nevis (CONCACAF). The tournament will adopt a knockout format featuring semifinals, a third-place playoff, and a final.

Indonesia, currently ranked 122nd in the FIFA World Rankings, will face Saint Kitts and Nevis, ranked 154th, in the first semifinal on Friday, March 27, at 8 p.m. Jakarta time. Earlier that day, Bulgaria will meet the Solomon Islands in the second semifinal at 3:30 p.m.

“Semifinal 1: Indonesia vs St Kitts Nevis, 27 March 2026, 8 pm. Semifinal 2: Bulgaria vs Solomon Islands 3:30 p.m. Jakarta time,” Sumardji said in a previous statement.

The winners of the semifinals will advance to the final on March 30 at 8 p.m., while the losing teams will contest the third-place playoff earlier the same day at 3:30 p.m.

“3rd place, 30 March 2026, 3.30 p.m. Final, 30 March 2026, 8 p.m.,” added Sumardji, who recently stepped down from his role as Indonesia national team manager.

Following the FIFA Series, Indonesia is scheduled to play additional fixtures during the FIFA Match Day windows and compete in the ASEAN Championship (AFF Cup) later in the year.
