ASEAN Para Games 2025 Results Prove Indonesia’s Resilience: Minister

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia wrapped up its campaign at the ASEAN Para Games 2025 in Thailand on Monday, January 26, 2026, by finishing second in the medal standings. Minister of Youth and Sports, Erick Thohir, praised the Indonesian contingent for fulfilling their national duty and delivering results that made the country proud. 

“The Red and White contingent has carried out its mission well, proving that Indonesia is a resilient and winning nation,” Minister Erick said in an official statement in Jakarta on Monday, January 26, as quoted by Antara.

Indonesia concluded its campaign at the ASEAN Para Games 2025 in Thailand, held from January 20 to 26, 2026, by securing a total of 392 medals: 135 gold, 143 silver, and 114 bronze.

That medal haul placed Indonesia second in the final standings, behind host nation Thailand, which emerged as overall champion with 175 gold, 155 silver, and 157 bronze medals.

Minister Erick expressed his appreciation to the athletes, coaches, officials, the Chef de Mission (CdM) team, and the Indonesian National Olympic Committee (NOC), crediting them for maintaining Indonesia’s strong reputation on the international stage.

He said all parties involved had given their best efforts to achieve strong results at Southeast Asia’s largest multi-sport event for athletes with disabilities. “Thanks to your hard work, Indonesia has remained one of the dominant nations at the top level of competition at the ASEAN Para Games,” he said.

The minister also emphasized that the government would celebrate the achievement by providing recognition and appreciation for the athletes’ accomplishments.
