RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Indonesian para archery squad capped off their campaign at the ASEAN Para Games (APG) 2025 in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, on Sunday by securing one silver and one bronze medal, further cementing their dominance despite missing out on gold on the final day.

“We may have already clinched the overall championship, but luck wasn’t on our side to add another gold today,” said head coach Idya Putra Harjianto after the matches at Mook Stadium Field, Wongchavalitkul University, as quoted by Antara.

The silver medal came from the mixed team recurve open event, where Kholidin and Novira Ross fell 3–5 to the Thai duo Hanreuchai Netsiri and Phattharaphon Pattawaeo.

Meanwhile, Ken Swagumilang and Teodora Audi Ayudia Ferelly Essant earned bronze in the mixed team compound open.

Looking ahead, Idya Putra emphasized that the team’s focus will now shift to preparing for the World Championships and the Asian Para Games 2026 in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.

Indonesia emerged as the overall champion in para archery at the 13th edition of the APG, collecting five gold medals from nine contested events.

The achievement carried added significance, as it avenged their loss to Thailand at the 2022 APG in Surakarta, Central Java,, where the hosts claimed four golds compared to Indonesia’s three. Para archery was not contested in the 2023 APG in Cambodia.
