Soekarno-Hatta Immigration Enters Global Top 10 in Skytrax Ranking

RRI.CO.ID, Tangerang - The immigration services at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport have entered the world’s top ten rankings according to Skytrax. This prestigious achievement was announced during the World Airport Awards 2026 in London, United Kingdom.

Acting Director General of Immigration Yuldi Yusman expressed gratitude for the accomplishment, which he described as highly commendable. The global assessment was based on surveys of service users from 100 nationalities between August 2025 and February 2026.

“Going forward, we will continue to strengthen cooperation with various parties to ensure that immigration services at Soekarno-Hatta Airport remain superior and efficient,” he said at Soekarno-Hatta Airport on Friday, March 20, 2026.

Yuldi emphasized that his institution is committed to continuous innovation to improve the quality of experience for all airport service users. This achievement shows that Indonesia has consistently maintained its elite global position for two consecutive years.

“This success also marks Indonesia’s consistency in maintaining that elite position for two consecutive years after achieving a similar result in the previous year,” he said.

This ranking places Indonesia alongside leading global airports such as Singapore, Bahrain, and the developed region of Hong Kong. Maintaining a top ten global position reflects the stability of Indonesia’s immigration service quality in international competition.

“Maintaining a position in the world’s top 10 in 2025 and 2026 reflects the stability of Indonesia’s immigration service quality,” he added.

Assessment indicators include waiting time efficiency and optimization of auto gate technology at international arrival gates. Other aspects include the availability of priority lanes and the professionalism of immigration officers on the front line.

“The main assessment indicators include waiting time efficiency, optimization of auto gate technology, availability of priority lanes, and the professionalism of frontline officers,” he continued.

Minister of Immigration and Corrections Agus Andrianto explained that this achievement is a tangible result of digital transformation. He stated that providing the best service to the public remains a top priority for the ministry.

“This achievement is the result of the hard work of all personnel in delivering the best service to the public and airport users,” Minister Agus said.

He added that the award highlights the crucial role of advanced technology in supporting the quality of public service systems. Strengthening service standards will continue to be expanded to ensure systems that are secure, efficient, and passenger friendly.

“This award shows how important digital transformation and technology-based service strengthening are in improving the quality of public services," Minister Agus said.
