KBRN, Jakarta: The Indonesian government is set to provide holiday allowances (THR) and the 13th-month salaries to civil servants (ASN), military/police personnel, and retirees ahead of the 2025 Eid al-Fitr celebration.

The payments will include basic salaries, performance allowances, and other attached benefits, President Prabowo Subianto stated at the Merdeka Palace, on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, rri.co.id. reported.

The President stated that for regional administration civil servants, the THR and 13th salary amounts will be adjusted based on the financial capacity of each region. "For retirees, the payment will match their monthly pension," he said.

He added that the THR will be paid two weeks before Eid al-Fitr. "Disbursement will begin on Monday, March 17, 2025," said the President.

The 13th salary is scheduled to be paid at the beginning of the new school year in June 2025. Thus, the payment of the holiday allowance and the 13th Salary will be carried out in stages.

The President also stated that the performance allowance provided will be a full 100 percent.

The Head of State expressed hopes that this policy will help meet the community's needs for the homecoming tradition and Eid holiday.

"I would like to thank Finance Minister and Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform, who have worked hard to prepare these," said the President.

Both Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani and Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Rini Widyantini accompanied the President while announcing the policy regarding THR.

THR, stands for 'Tunjangan Hari Raya' holds significant importance, especially during Eid al-Fitr, known locally as 'Lebaran'. This allowance is a mandatory bonus provided by employers to employees ahead of major religious holidays.

THR helps employees manage the additional expenses associated with Eid celebrations, such as purchasing new clothes, preparing festive meals, and traveling for family reunions.

Eid al-Fitr is a time of joy, forgiveness, and togetherness. THR ensures that employees can fully participate in these traditions without financial strain

The distribution of THR stimulates consumer spending, benefiting local businesses and markets during the festive season.

Employers are legally required to provide THR, reflecting their appreciation for employees' dedication throughout the year. ***
