RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Indonesian government emphasized its commitment to strengthening oversight of various national strategic programs, following the detention of officials some time ago. Minister of State Secretary, Prasetyo Hadi, stated that the country's president, Prabowo Subianto, requested all law enforcers carry out their duties.
"The president once again emphasized the need to ask the entire ranks of law enforcement officials to continue carrying out their duties. Our spirit, we truly want to strive as hard as possible to fight this culture of corruption," he said before reporters in Jakarta on Thursday, June 4, 2026.
Minister Prasetyo further stated that this strengthened oversight applies to all ongoing government programs. Therefore, he said the government, through several supervisory bodies, will continue to promote the oversight function to ensure optimal performance.
"For example, the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) is an internal audit of government finances. All ministries and institutions routinely supervise all processes within their respective ministries and institutions," he explained.

In addition, Prasetyo said that Prabowo directly monitors and evaluates the implementation of priority government programs. He claimed that the president regularly checked reports from all ministries and institutions to ensure development targets were achieved as planned.
"So, as Head of State and Head of Government, he routinely monitors and evaluates all programs and all ministries," he explained.
Earlier, former Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Dadan Hindayana, was detained by the Attorney General's Office on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, after his dismissal by Prabowo, due to alleged corruption in the Free Nutritious Meals program management. The day after, Vice Minister of Immigration and Correctional Affairs, Silmy Karim, was detained by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on corruption allegations about the issuance of residence permits for foreign nationals.
