RRI CO.ID, Aceh - The building of both temporary and permanent houses in Aceh, West Sumatra, and North Sumatra is proceeding at a rapid pace. Different rates of progress are being made in the building of houses for people impacted by floods and landslides.
According to the Presidential Media Team's statement on Sunday, February 8, the construction, which includes members of the Indonesian Military (TNI) and the local community, is proceeding at different phases, ranging from the installation of the building framework to the completion of the residential units.
The building of temporary housing in Batu Sumbang Village, Simpang Jernih Subdistrict, East Aceh Regency, Aceh Province, is still in progress. A portion of the building's steel structure has been built, but other components are still being put together.
In order to get the ground ready for the building of the temporary dwellings, TNI officers and members of the community were seen collaborating to level the area using hoes.
On the other hand, the building of makeshift shelters in West Sumatra is progressing nicely. With progress at 100 percent, a total of nine temporary housing units have reportedly been finished. These devices are located in a number of locations. These include the regencies of Lima Puluh Kota, Agam, Padang Pariaman, and Pesisir Selatan, as well as the cities of Padang and Tanah Datar.
One temporary housing unit in the Pesisir Selatan Regency is still being built in addition to the finished buildings, with around 45 percent completion. The land has been leveled at this location, the steel frame of the structure has been constructed, and construction resources are on hand to hasten the process.
In other parts of West Sumatra, there is also a rise in the construction of both temporary and permanent housing. The building frame and galvalume roof have been installed in Bungo Tanjung Village, Batipuh Subdistrict, Tanah Datar Regency.
Members of TNI and local citizens may be observed collaborating to construct the walls of the temporary house. The temporary shelter in Sumpur Village, Batipuh Selatan Subdistrict, Tanah Datar Regency, is now in the last phase of construction.
This site's whole construction process is being handled by TNI staff. The temporary house is still being built in the Bayang Utara hamlet of Subdistrict IV in the Pesisir Selatan Regency.
Some of the structure's frame has already been constructed, and the ground floor is now being built. A BNPB tent has been set up nearby to serve as a break place for locals and TNI members participating in the building process.
In Padang Panjang City, preparations are being made for permanent housing. On vacant land that will be utilized as the location of the permanent housing development in Tanah Hitam Village, West Padang Panjang Subdistrict, TNI soldiers were seen.
Meanwhile, permanent houses featuring a modern triangular shape have been constructed in Ekor Lubuk Village, East Padang Panjang Subdistrict. The structure resembles city homes with its combination of gray and yellow bricks and a light steel roof frame.
The government expressed hope that the rapid construction of these temporary and permanent housing units will help hasten the post-disaster recovery process in afflicted areas and offer enough safe housing for communities that have been affected by disasters. (Misni Parjiati/Bambang MBKA)
