Come and See Prestigious Art Festival "Ubud Open Studios" in Bali Early June

RRI.CO.ID, Ubud - The Ubud Open Studios 2026 will be held on 5-7 June 2026. The event is one of the most prestigious art festival in Bali.

This year, the Ubud Open Studios will take the theme "Roots and Routes: Every Door a Discovery". The theme explores the relationships between the Balinese cultural roots and the global contemporary art development.

"With this theme, Ubud Open Studios will show that tradition is never separated from innovation, it grows along with time," wrote the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism on their website on Thursday, May 28, 2026.

Similar to other art events, this one will be showcasing many artworks. However, not only being a gallery, visitors will be brought into the workshop or the studios of the artists.

With such concept, the visitors will be able to see the creative process of the artists directly. It starts from the planning, idea exploration, medium selection, to the finishing process.

Artists of different backgrounds and artistic approaches from Bali, other regions in Indonesia, as well as the world will be coming. They are expected to give a more enriched experience to the visitors.

Besides the studio tours, Ubud Open Studios also have other programs such as discussion, workshop, art demonstration, and thematic exhibition. These programs are open for public, students, as well as creative industry players.

In 2026, Ubud Open Studios is included in the Tourism Ministry's tourism agenda - the TOP TEN Karisma Event Nusantara (KEN). Being included in the KEN, Ubud Open Studios became one the most do-not-miss art and culture event in Indonesia.
