The flagship event showcases a vibrant mix of traditional cultural performances, sports competitions, live music, local culinary exhibitions, and interactive public service booths hosted by the Tangerang City Administration. Selected as one of the top 125 national events in the Ministry of Tourism's 2026 Kharisma Event Nusantara (KEN) calendar, chosen from over 500 regional submissions curated nationwide, the festival serves as the city’s premier cultural highlight aimed at drawing both national and international visitors.
Highlighting the event’s national significance, central and local administration officials emphasized the festival’s broader role as a catalyst for community-based economic empowerment and tourism growth.
Assistant Deputy of Event Strategy at the Ministry of Tourism, Raden Wisnu Sindhutrisno, praised the festival's achievement and set high expectations for its future trajectory.
"Cisadane Festival is expected to deliver a tangible impact on the advancement of tourism, the economy, and culture so that Tangerang City can become a tourism magnet for visitors, I am very proud that Cisadane Festival from my hometown has entered the KEN program this year and, God willing, in the coming years. Hopefully next year it can break into the top 10," Sindhutrisno said on Thursday, July 23, 2026, as quoted by Antara.
Echoing this vision, Tangerang Mayor Sachrudin emphasized that the national recognition brings both prestige and responsibility to maintain high-quality, impactful programming for local residents and small businesses.
"Of course, Cisadane Festival is not merely an entertainment stage, but also a driver for the community's economy," Mayor Sachrudin noted. ***
