Indonesia Promotes #GoBeyondOrdinary at ITB Berlin 2026

RRI.CO.ID, Berlin - Indonesia, through the Ministry of Tourism, is promoting the #GoBeyondOrdinary campaign in Wonderful Indonesia's participation in ITB Berlin 2026, the world's largest, oldest, and most prestigious business-to-business (B2B) tourism exhibition. The ITB Berlin 2026 will take place from March 3–5, 2026.

Tourism Minister, Widiyanti Putri Wardhana, at the opening of the Indonesian Pavilion at the Berlin Expo Center, Messe Berlin, on Tuesday 3 March 2026, stated that the #GoBeyondOrdinary theme was chosen to emphasize Indonesia's position as a destination that is not only beautiful but also offers quality, value-added tourism experiences.

The Indonesian Pavilion occupies 441 square meters in Hall 26 No. 111 and is one of the pavilions with the largest industry participation in the past five years.

The Indonesian Pavilion showcased premium tourism packages including marine tourism, gastronomy tourism, wellness tourism, traditional textiles, and art and design. These products were spread across 10 Priority Tourism Destinations and 3 Regenerative Tourism Destinations, representing the diversity and strength of Indonesia's appeal.

"The #GoBeyondOrdinary campaign reflects the Ministry of Tourism's flagship Upscaled Tourism program, which emphasizes the creation of added value through quality tourism," Minister Widiyanti stated.

A total of 106 tourism industry players from 14 provinces participated, expanding their business networks, establishing international partnerships, and achieving transaction targets with buyers from various countries.

At the opening of the Indonesian Pavilion, Minister of Tourism Widiyanti, accompanied by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to the Federal Republic of Germany, Abdul Kadir Jailani, expressed her appreciation for the spirit of industry collaboration.

"The 106 industries from 14 provinces are present, representing Indonesia's diversity and strength. Your presence is clear evidence that Indonesian tourism is growing through collaboration, hard work, and shared trust," she said.

The Indonesian Pavilion also received support from the Jakarta Provincial Government, through the Department of Culture and the Department of Tourism and Creative Economy, which presented cultural performances and Abang None Jakarta. The North Sulawesi Provincial Tourism Office also provided support by facilitating two local tourism industries to participate in ITB Berlin 2026.
