RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – The Ministry of Youth and Sports is set to hold the Indonesia Sports Summit (ISS) 2026 to reinforce the national sports industry ecosystem while positioning Indonesia as a key player in the global sports industry.

Carrying the theme "Beyond The Game 2.0: From Nation Building to Global Industry," the ISS 2026 will take place on September 11–13, 2026, at the Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC).

Deputy for Sports Industry Development at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Teuku Arlan Perkasa Lukman, said the summit is designed to serve as a collaborative hub that brings together stakeholders to accelerate the development of Indonesia's sports industry.

"We want ISS to become a platform that brands will seek in the future. ISS will serve as a hub where local and global sports industry brands come together," Arlan said in a statement received in Jakarta on Monday.

The ministry said the theme reflects Indonesia's vision of becoming not only a nation strengthened through sporting achievements but also an emerging force in the global sports industry. As the sector continues to evolve, sports are increasingly recognized as a strategic industry capable of driving economic growth, creating jobs, and opening opportunities for investment and innovation.

Through ISS 2026, the ministry aims to establish a global-standard platform that brings together government officials, industry players, investors, academics, sports communities, and technology innovators to strengthen collaboration and expand business opportunities in the sports sector.

The ministry believes that strengthening networks and enhancing the competitiveness of the national sports industry are essential for enabling Indonesia to play a greater role in the global sports value chain.

Through the strategic partnerships expected to emerge from ISS 2026, the ministry hopes to accelerate the transformation of sports into a future-oriented industry supported by a stronger, more innovative, and globally connected ecosystem.
