RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia strengthened its presence in Mobile Legend Bang Bang (MLBB) Women's Invitational (MWI) at Esports World Cup (EWC) 2026 after Team Falcons ID secured a place in the quarterfinals on Thursday, July 16.

Team Falcons ID advanced to the quarterfinals, or Knockout Stage, of MWI at EWC 2026 in Paris, France, after defeating Twisted Minds straight games 2-0 in the second round of the lower bracket, Antara reported.

The victory kept Falcons ID's championship hopes alive while ending the campaign of Twisted Minds, a representative from Southeast and East Asia.

Broadcast on the MPL Indonesia channel, Falcons ID dominated the opening game from the early stages. Superior eliminations and a significant gold advantage allowed the Indonesian side to close the match in under 11 minutes without giving Twisted Minds a chance to recover.

Twisted Minds responded with a stronger start in the second game, using aggressive rotations to dictate the pace.

However, Falcons ID turned the match around by capitalizing on a favorable objective trade midway through the game. That momentum shift enabled the Indonesian team to take control and complete a 2-0 victory.

The result extended Falcons ID's resurgence after the team also defeated Mongolia's Aurora Gaming 2-0 in the first round of the lower bracket.

Falcons ID had opened its MWI EWC 2026 campaign with a 0-2 defeat to China's SAETA Esports in Group A, forcing the Indonesian representative into the single-elimination lower bracket.

With the victory, Falcons ID joined fellow Indonesian representative and defending champion Team Vitality, which had already secured a quarterfinal berth through the upper bracket. ***
