RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – Indonesian men’s shuttler, Alwi Farhan, is preparing to face French shuttler, Alex Lanier, in the semifinals of the 2026 BWF World Tour Super 750 Singapore Open at Singapore Stadium on Saturday, May 30. Alwi is determined to secure a victory to earn a spot in the final of this prestigious tournament.
“The matches I’ve played since yesterday haven’t been easy either. In the semifinals, the pressure is definitely different, but I’ll definitely focus on every point,” Alwi said on Friday, May 29.
Alwi received valuable advice from Fajar Alfian and Mohammad Shohibul Fikri before the semifinals to boost his confidence.
“They also demonstrated the spirit on the court that motivated me even more. I’m grateful to them. Hopefully, we can go even further,” Alwi said.
Alwi secured his spot in the semifinals after defeating Japanese shuttler Kodai Naraoka in straight games with scores of 21-12, 21-17.
