RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Indonesian women’s 3x3 basketball team has kept its chances of advancing to the second round of the 2026 Sanya Asian Beach Games (ABG) alive, after securing one win from two matches in Group C.
The team defeated Kyrgyzstan 16-11, following an earlier 11-15 loss to the Philippines in Sanya Shi, Hainan, China, on Saturday, April 25.
National Team Coach Fandi Andika Ramadhani expressed gratitude for the victory, noting that the win over Kyrgyzstan opens the door for Indonesia’s women’s 3x3 team to progress to the next round.
Fandi said he was fairly satisfied with the result of the first game against the Philippines. “It wasn’t easy for them to win either, and it took time,” he remarked.
Indonesia now faces a decisive match against Macau on Monday, April 27. A victory will secure the team’s place in the next round. “The team is ready to fight. They don’t want to lose either,” Fandi said.
