RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia’s rising star Veda Ega Pratama will start from fourth position at the Moto3 United States Grand Prix 2026, after delivering a strong performance in qualifying at the Circuit of the Americas on Sunday, March 29, 2026, in the early hours Jakarta time.
The 17-year-old rider showed promise throughout the weekend, advancing directly to Q2 after consistent free practice sessions, including a 10th-place finish in FP2, Antara reported.
In qualifying, Veda briefly climbed to second, closely shadowing Alvaro Carpe at the top of the timesheets. However, in the final minutes, Carpe tightened his grip on pole with a best lap of 2:12.107, while Casey O’Gorman and Valentin Perrone moved into second and third.
Veda had one last chance to improve his position, posting competitive times through the second sector, but a slight error saw him run wide and his lap was canceled. Despite that setback, he secured fourth place, an excellent starting position that keeps him firmly in contention for a podium finish.
