RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesian rider Veda Ega Pratama showcased resilience at the Moto3 Italian Grand Prix, clawing his way from 13th on the grid to secure an eighth-place finish at the Motegi Circuit on Sunday, May 31, 2026.
From the opening lap, the Honda Team Asia racer pushed aggressively, determined to break into the front pack, Antara reported. His early maneuvers brought him into contention for sixth place, where he engaged in a close duel with David Muñoz.
The momentum, however, proved difficult to sustain. Midway through the race, Veda slipped back to 16th as his pace faltered, momentarily losing ground in the tightly contested midfield.
Refusing to give in, the Gunungkidul-born rider regained rhythm in the final stages. With steady determination, he fought his way back into the top 10, ultimately crossing the line in eighth place.
The result keeps Veda firmly in the championship battle, holding fifth in the overall standings with 66 points as the season continues to unfold. ***
