RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Vice Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia, Taufik Hidayat, stated that the key to the success of national sports is collaboration with various parties. This former world badminton player believes that synergy between the government, private sector, and community will be an important catalyst for the progress of national athletes.

Sports development cannot be done instantly. It requires patience and a long-term process. Therefore, collaboration and concrete action like what is being done today are very important," Taufik conveyed at the Milo National Championship 2026 Talk-show in Jakarta on Sunday, 1 February 2026.

The Minister explained that the government's role would not be maximized if it acted alone without the help of others. The government is greatly assisted thru collaboration with various parties, including the government, the private sector, and the community.

Taufik reminded all parties that becoming a world champion takes time. "Sports development cannot be done instantly because it requires patience and a long-term process," Taufik stated.

Furthermore, Taufik appreciated the implementation of the activity. According to him, the Milo National Championship 2026 is one example of real and successful collaboration in supporting sports development.

In addition, Taufik emphasized that regions play an important role in nurturing and supporting the potential of athletes in their respective areas.

"The development of national athletes is highly dependent on the strength of coaching in the regions. Strong athletes will be the main foundation for national sports achievements," he said.

Going forward, the government plans to hold regular coordination forums with heads of youth and sports agencies, both weekly and monthly online, so that the implementation of sports development programs in the regions can run in harmony between the center and the regions.
