RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia opens its Thailand Masters 2026 campaign on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, as nine shuttlers take to the courts in Bangkok, beginning from both the qualification rounds and the round of 32, in an early test of squad depth and preparation at the BWF World Tour Super 300 event.

Indonesian matches start from the qualification rounds, where five representatives are fighting for places in the main draw. Four other players and pairs enter the tournament directly at the round of 32 stage, Antara reported.

In the women’s singles qualification, Indonesia fields Thalita Ramadhani Wiryawan, Ni Kadek Dhinda Amartya Pratiwi, and Mutiara Ayu Puspitasari, with only two of them advancing to the main draw. An all-Indonesian meeting is possible in the final qualification round between Ni Kadek Dhinda and Thalita Ramadhani, provided both progress through their opening matches.

Indonesia is also represented in the qualification rounds by Yohanes Saut Marcellyno in men’s singles, and Ali Faathir Rayhan/Devin Artha Wahyudi in men’s doubles.

Meanwhile, four Indonesian representatives compete directly in the round of 32. One of the most anticipated appearances comes from men’s doubles pair Muhammad Rian Ardianto/Rahmat Hidayat, as the Thailand Masters marks their first tournament of the 2026 season.

The duo, paired since the second half of last year, reached the quarterfinals of the Super 750 Denmark Open 2025 and closed the 2025 season by winning the Astana International Challenge in Kazakhstan. Seeded fifth, Rian/Rahmat will face a mixed-nationality pair from South Korea and Malaysia, Choi Sol-gyu/Goh V Shem, in the opening round.

In women’s doubles, Lanny Tria Mayasari/Apriyani Rahayu resume their partnership after their semifinal finish at the Indonesia Masters 2026. Another Indonesian pair, Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma/Meilysa Trias Puspitasari, aim to bounce back after exiting in the round of 16 at the same tournament. Indonesia also fields Isyana Syahira Meida/Rinjani Kwinnara Nastine, who play on the opening day.
