RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) has officially partnered with Kelme, a Spanish sportswear company with a long-standing presence in global football, as the apparel sponsor of the Indonesian national team. The agreement was established through PT Garuda Sepak Bola Indonesia.

Kelme, founded in 1963 in Elche, Spain, is recognized internationally for producing football kits, footwear, and sports equipment. The brand has supplied apparel for clubs in Spain’s La Liga and futsal teams worldwide, and is currently the official sponsor of several professional leagues. Its entry into Indonesia marks a significant expansion into Southeast Asia.

The collaboration is designed as a long-term partnership, focusing not only on providing jerseys but also on supporting the development of Indonesia’s football ecosystem.

CEO of Kelme Indonesia, Kevin Wijaya, said the partnership reflects a commitment to grow alongside Indonesian football. “We believe that the national football team's progress is not built on a whim, but through consistency and hard work,” Kevin said during the announcement at Hotel Tribrata Darmawangsa, Jakarta, on Friday, January 23, 2026.

He emphasized that Kelme is present as a strategic partner of the national team, providing support throughout every process, challenge, and achievement.

PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir described the collaboration as strategically significant, noting that it represents more than a jersey change. “The entrance of an international brand is a positive signal for Indonesian football. This collaboration also increases the value of the national sports industry,” Erick said.

Indonesian National Team Coach John Herdman welcomed the partnership enthusiastically, saying Kelme’s experience would positively impact the team’s performance. He expressed confidence that both players and supporters would appreciate the new Garuda jerseys. “They understand the quality and the small details that make a difference,” Herdman said.

The partnership covers all men’s, women’s, senior, junior, and futsal national teams, strengthening professional standards across every level of Indonesian football. (Gusti Panji/Lasti Martina)
