Indonesian Contingent Wins 21 Gold Medals on Day Two of the 2025 ASEAN Para Games in Thailand

RRI.CO.ID, Nakhon Ratchasima - The medal count for Indonesia's contingent at the 2025 ASEAN Para Games in Thailand is steadily increasing. Extraordinary achievements were successfully presented by Indonesian athletes on the second day, with them successfully contributing 21 gold medals, exceeding the daily target of only 13 gold medals.
The positive trend in gold medal acquisition is shown by the Indonesian contingent at the 2025 ASEAN Para Games in Thailand. On the second day, Thursday 22 January 2026. Para Swimming and Para Athletics contributed significantly to the gold medal count, followed by other sports like Para Judo, Para Cycling, and Para Powerlifting.
Some of the sports that successfully won gold medals today include Para Swimming, with January winning the Men's 200m Freestyle S5, Bayu Putra Yuda (Men's 200m Freestyle S10), Maulana Rifky Yavianda (Men's Butterfly S12), and Siti Alfiah (Women's 100m Freestyle S6).
Para Cycling also contributed gold medals from Tifan Abid Alana (Men's Road Race C1-C2) and Sufyan Saori (Men's Road Race C3-C5). Meanwhile, Para Judo added gold medals from Junaedi (Men's Individual J1 -64kg) and Sahrul Sulaiman (Men's Individual J1/J2 -81 Kg).

Additional gold medals also came from Para Athletics, with Purnomo Saptoyogo (Men's 100m T37), Maria Goreti Sami Yati (Women's 200m T54), Partin (Men's 100m T42,T63), Helin Wardina (Women's 100m T42,T44,T64), and Firza Faturahman Listianto (Men's 100m T46) contributing to the medal count.
Not wanting to be left out, the Para Powerlifters also managed to win a gold medal from Hilman in the Men's 54 Kg category, and Para Fencing's Akhmad Saidah in the Men's Individual Foil A.
"Our para games athletes have put in an extraordinary effort, exceeding the daily gold medal target for the past two days. Yesterday's target was 11 gold medals, we were able to get 19 gold medals, a surplus of 8 gold medals, and today's target is 13 gold medals, and we exceeded that," the Minister Erick stated.
