RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Indonesian national para-cycling squad celebrated two more gold medals on Thursday, January 22, 2026, during the 2025 ASEAN Para Games in Thailand.

Tifan Abid Alana secured the gold in the men’s C1-C2 road race, followed shortly by Sufyan Saori’s victory in the men’s C3-C5 road race category. These wins were sought to solidify Indonesia’s position as a powerhouse in Southeast Asian para-sports, and were accomplished after both riders successfully navigated the challenging road courses to beat out top athletes from across the region.

According to the organizers' official page on Thursday, Tifan claimed the gold medal after recording the fastest time of one hour, 47 minutes, and 47 seconds. He successfully outperformed Malaysia's Mohammad Yusof Bin Shaharuddin, who finished in 1:47:57, and Thailand’s Teerayut Rimtamad, who took bronze with a time of 1:59:02, as quoted by Antara.

Sufyan Saori became the champion in the men’s C3-C5 road race by completing the course in two hours, 14 minutes, and 29 seconds. He finished ahead of Filipino athlete Patrick Gerard Lee, who took silver, and Malaysia’s Tarmizi Bin Ahmad, who earned the bronze medal.

With these latest victories, Indonesia has now collected a total of five gold and two silver medals from the para-cycling road events. The three previous gold medals were contributed by Muhammad Fadli Imammuddin in the men's C3-C5 individual time trial, Nurfendi in the men's B time trial, and Vanza Miftahul Jannah in the women's B time trial.

Additionally, two silver medals were previously earned by Tifan Abid Alana in the men's C1-C2 individual time trial and Sufyan Saori in the men's C3-C5 individual time trial. Following the conclusion of the road cycling events, the competition will move to the track para-cycling category starting later this week.

The track events are scheduled to take place from January 24 to 25 at the Velodrome of His Majesty the King's 80th Birthday Anniversary Stadium in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand.
