KBRN, Jakarta: Indonesia has entered a new chapter in motorsport with the launch of its first-ever electric karting league. The Kart.inc Pro League (KPL) officially kicked off on Saturday, January 10, at Kart.inc in the PIK Entertainment District, Tangerang, marking a milestone for the country’s racing scene.

The inaugural league brings together seven competing teams: RDC Gajahlume Pro, AOG Racing Team, Niti Racing, F4 Indonesia Academy, Speed Adrenaline, Wish Motorsport, and Dewa United Motorsport.

Kart.inc founder Michael Jorgy explained that the league was designed not only to showcase competition but also to introduce the wider public to the world of motorsport, particularly electric karting.

“We want to make racing accessible to people who may not yet be familiar with it, especially e-karting. Only a small number of people know about it,” Michael said in a written statement, as quoted by Antara.

“This league provides a platform that follows international motorsport regulations, while also giving drivers and teams the chance to improve and progress to more serious levels.”

The Kart.inc Pro League features four categories: Junior, Women, Pro-Am, and Pro. Each team fields six to nine drivers, including two Pro racers plus one reserve, two Pro-Am racers plus one reserve, one Women’s racer plus one reserve, and one Junior racer.

The debut season will run across six rounds until May 2026, with all races held at the Kart.inc track in Tangerang. Organizers have prepared a total prize pool of IDR 500 million, with the overall champion earning the opportunity to compete in an international event in Italy.

In Round 1 results, Daffa Ardiansa of Wish Motorsport claimed victory in the Pro category with 30 points. Meanwhile, the Women’s, Junior, and Pro-Am categories each staged two races within the opening series.

Full race results are available via the official Kart.inc Pro League Instagram account, while live broadcasts and replays are streamed on the YouTube channel Kartinc.Indonesia.
