RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – Indonesia's Labor Minister, Yassierli, emphasized that social dialogue is the key to overcoming various labor challenges amid rapid changes in the global economy. This approach is intended to ensure a stable investment climate and balanced industrial relations for both international and local businesses.

He also noted that constructive communication between the government, employers, and workers serves as a vital foundation for fostering peaceful solutions. This step is taken to forge mutually beneficial agreements for all parties involved.

“In facing these various challenges, constructive social dialogue is key to ensuring that every issue can be resolved through communication, mutual respect, and the search for balanced solutions for all parties,” he said while opening the National Gathering of the National Tripartite Cooperation Agency (LKS) in the Tridarma Room at the Ministry of Manpower in Jakarta on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.

This spirit of equal partnership has successfully led to the formulation of various strategic policy guidelines over the past few years. This collaboration has taken shape through dozens of official working meetings designed to address the full range of dynamics in the national labor market.

“The National Tripartite Labor Council has become a productive forum for us to exchange views and seek joint solutions to the dynamics of Indonesia’s labor market. May the values of collaboration, deliberation, and the spirit of tripartite cooperation continue to be upheld,” he said.

Discussions have focused on preventing mass layoffs, regulating outsourcing, and implementing a productivity-based wage system. Additionally, harmonizing legal regulations and improving workers’ skills remain top priorities to maintain the workforce’s competitiveness.

“May today’s gathering further strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and unity among us. Let us preserve and continue to strengthen the values of collaboration, deliberation, and the spirit of tripartite cooperation that we have built together,” Yassierli said, who also serves as Chair of the Tripnas LKS for the 2023–2026 term.
