RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta — The government has recorded solid state revenue performance so far this year. According to a press release from the Indonesian Government Communications Agency, as of June 2026, the government collected Rp1,459.4 trillion ($81,56 billion) in revenue, a 21.4 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

Indonesia's Finance Minister, Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, stated that this strong revenue realization will continue to support expansionary fiscal policies aimed at driving economic growth through the remainder of the second half of 2026.

Meanwhile, Ministry of Finance data showed actual government spending through June 2026. It reached Rp1,656 trillion (approximately $103.5 billion), representing a 17.8 percent increase compared to the same period in the previous year.

“The performance of the State Budget through the first half of 2026 continues to show strong results. Revenue reached Rp1,459.4 trillion, while government spending totaled Rp1,656.0 trillion. The State Budget continues to serve as the driving force behind economic growth and the implementation of the national development agenda,” Purbaya said during the APBN KiTA press conference in Jakarta on Tuesday, July 21, 2026.

More specifically, the majority of the country’s revenue stemmed from tax revenues, which totaled Rp1,187 trillion (or $66.3 million), accounting for 81.33 percent of total government revenue. This figure consists of tax collections of Rp1,035.7 trillion ($64.7 billion), up 24.6 percent year-on-year, as well as customs and excise duties totaling Rp145 trillion ($8.1 billion).

In addition to tax revenue, government earnings through June were bolstered by Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP), which reached Rp271 trillion ($15.1 billion), a 21.6 percent increase year-on-year. The state also received grant revenues totaling Rp10.2 trillion ($570 million) during the same period.

Purbaya added that solid state revenue growth played a major role in maintaining fiscal health throughout the first half of the year. Ministry of Finance data indicates that Indonesia recorded a fiscal deficit of Rp196.5 trillion ($10.9 billion), equivalent to 0.76 percent of Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
