RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Minister of Communication and Digital, Meutya Hafid, will issue 13 stamp series throughout 2026. She also said this publication is part of the country's effort to preserve the nation's collective memory through stamps.
The minister conveyed that stamps play a vital role as a medium for recording national historical footprints. She officially delivered the statement while in Jakarta on Monday, 2 February 2026.
"We place stamps as part of our effort to preserve Indonesia's story about culture, history, and national identity. Stamps are also a record of the nation's journey that we must continue to protect together," Meutya Hafid stated.
She also explained that all stamp issues for 2026 are designed as a single narrative series about Indonesia. "Through the 2026 Stamp Catalog, we present a series of stamp publications that reflect Indonesia's richness, from cultural heritage and biodiversity to national events and international cooperation," Meutya conveyed.
The 2026 Stamp E-Catalog prepared by the Directorate General of Digital Ecosystems of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology contains 13 series, including the Year of the Fire Horse Series, the Wayang Pandawa Lima Series, the Fruits Series, the Artifacts and Historical Buildings of Palembang Series, the Great Indonesian Children Series, and the Presidents and Vise Presidents of the Republic of Indonesia 2024-2029 Term Series.
The publications also include Indonesian-Uruguayan cooperative stamps and Indonesian participation series in international philatelic exhibitions such as BOSTON 2026, MACAO 2026, BANDUNG 2026, and PHILATAIPEI 2026.
Amid the rapid flow of digitalization, Meutya believes that stamps still hold strong relevance across generations. "Stamps still play a role as a bridge between generations and as a reminder of national identity," she said.
