RRI.CO.ID, Kebumen – The Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Abdul Mu'ti, emphasized that the government's nationwide school revitalization program is proceeding on schedule, on target, and transparently. Beyond infrastructure, the program has demonstrated a significant multiplier effect on local economies through substantial job creation.

National monitoring reports indicate that improvements to educational facilities range from large-scale renovations to minor repairs. This development provides a strategic boost to the quality of teaching and learning in both public and private schools targeted by the program.

As quoted by the website of the Directorate General of Early Childhood, Primary, and Secondary Education, Mu'ti stated, "From our national monitoring, the revitalization is running on schedule and on target. Alhamdulillah, this program is not only beneficial for large and small-scale development in public and private schools, but also able to absorb labor and stimulate the local economy."

He also delivered the statement during the inauguration of the 2025 School Revitalization Program at SD Negeri 2 Jatisari, Kebumen, Central Java, on Monday, 26 January 2026. During the visit, he personally inspected the physical progress of the projects, which were carried out through a self-management mechanism.

The positive impact on regional economies is further supported by data from the Institute for Economic and Social Research, Education, and Information (LP3ES). Their research reveals that approximately 500,000 people were involved in the revitalization of 16,171 educational units across Indonesia throughout 2025.

Regarding the Kebumen Regency specifically, Mu'ti expressed his appreciation for the rapid project implementation, which hit its targets early this year. “For Kebumen itself, Alhamdulillah, it is 100 percent complete. Today, we are inaugurating 61 schools that are the result of the revitalization program with a total assistance of Rp31.8 billion,” Mu'ti said.

The government remains committed to maintaining this momentum. For the 2026 fiscal year, over Rp14 trillion has been allocated to revitalize an additional 11,700 educational units across the country.
