Keljo Celebrates Five Years in Music with “Kubuka Pintu”

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – Indonesian singer-songwriter Kelvin Joshua, known by his stage name Keljo, has released his latest album “Kubuka Pintu" (“I Open the Door”). Speaking in a recent episode of Voice of Indonesia's music program, The Session, Keljo said the song was inspired by various stories of love that has endured over time, as well as healthy relationships.

“The song was inspired by stories of deep, long-lasting love, as well as the depiction of a healthy relationship. It’s about that feeling when you’re deeply in love,” he said. He also revealed that musically, the song draws inspiration from American singer Bruno Mars.

The song serves as the title track of Keljo's newest album, released in 2026, a year that marks five years since he entered Indonesia's music industry. Keljo began his career in 2021 after finishing among Indonesian Idol Special Season’s top nine and has released 23 songs thereafter.

In addition to “Kubuka Pintu,” Keljo also released “Kenapa Selalu Aku” (“Why Is It Always Me?”) on the same album on February 6, 2026. The song explores the exhaustion of always feeling at fault in a relationship and the frustration of repeatedly being blamed.

This year has also seen Keljo step into a new role as a music producer in Indonesia’s music industry. In June and July 2026, he co-founded a music production house called Rikeju alongside Rizky Adhi and Michael Juan.

The trio's debut project is an EP of Indonesian diva Ruth Sahanaya, which is set to be released on September 4, 2026. Of the six songs, the team produced four tracks.
