Celine Dion Comes Back After Six Years Absent

The iconic singer will give ten concerts over five weeks starting September 12 at La Défense Arena in Nanterre, just outside of Paris – the largest concert venue in Europe. "This year, I'm getting the best birthday gift of my life," she said, expressing her gratitude to fans. "I'm getting the chance to see you, to perform for you once again."

The announcement was made in a spectacular way, with a special message broadcast on the Eiffel Tower. Thousands of fans gathered to witness the moment, surrounded by hit songs like her cover of Edith Piaf's "L'hymne a l'amour" (Hymn to Love).

Dion took over the Eiffel Tower, saying "Paris, I'm ready" in English and several other languages, as part of a dazzling light show. She shared that she's doing great, managing her health, and feeling good, crediting her fans for their unwavering support.

Dion was diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome, an incurable autoimmune disorder, in December 2022. Despite the challenges, she's determined to fight her way back to the stage, and her fans are eagerly awaiting her return.

The singer's comeback is a momentous occasion, given her legendary status and powerful voice. She's sold over 260 million albums and won five Grammys, including two for "My Heart Will Go On," the hit song from Titanic.
