RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Judha Nugraha, has assured that the security situation in the country remains stable following the July 12, 2026, attack. He confirmed that while the assault did occur, UAE authorities successfully intercepted it.

“Life here is normal, there’s no panic. Public transport is running, shopping centers are open, logistics are unaffected. People continue their daily activities as usual. In fact, we even exercised outside the office without any concern,” Judha told RRI Pro3 on Sunday, July 19.

He urged Indonesian citizens in the UAE to stay calm but remain vigilant. Judha acknowledged that the UAE is the Gulf country most frequently targeted by hostile forces, facing repeated drone and missile attacks.

Since February 28, 2026, adversaries have launched around 2,800 strikes, but local defenses have consistently neutralized them, preventing civilian casualties.

“After May 4, the situation had eased, but another attack came on July 12. It was intercepted by the air defense system, leaving no damage. The UAE’s interception capability is highly effective; over 95 percent of incoming threats are neutralized before causing harm,” he explained.

Judha also confirmed that the Indonesian Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General in Dubai have maintained a Level III alert status since February 28.

“We continue to uphold Alert Level III. Both the Embassy and Consulate have updated their proactive response to the latest attack. The UAE activated its emergency warning system, and we’ve refreshed our information accordingly. However, the alert status has remained unchanged since February 28,” he emphasized.
