President Prabowo Arrives in Moscow, Welcomed by Russian Deputy FM

RRI.CO.ID, Moscow – Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto arrived at Vnukovo-2 Airport in Moscow, Russia, on Monday, April 13, 2026, at 7:45 a.m. local time. Prabowo was welcomed by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, Andrey Rudenko.
The President was also greeted by Director of the Russian State Protocol Department, Igor Bogdashev, Indonesian Ambassador to the Russian Federation Jose Tavares, and Indonesian Defense Attaché in Moscow, First Marshal Budi Susilo.
According to the President’s website, the Head of State’s arrival signifies Indonesia’s commitment to continue strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing strategic cooperation with Russia.
While in Moscow, President Prabowo is scheduled to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The meeting aims at building up the partnership between the two countries, particularly in the energy sector and other priority areas.
This visit also reflects Indonesia’s active diplomatic efforts to build mutually beneficial partnerships with friendly nations. The Indonesian government views Russia as a key partner in supporting global stability and economic growth.
Earlier, President Prabowo and his delegation of ministers departed from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport in Jakarta on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at 11:10 p.m. local time. The President on the flight to Russia were accompanied by Foreign Minister, Sugiono, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Bahlil Lahadalia, and Cabinet Secretary, Teddy Indra Wijaya.
