RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia and Japan underscored their shared responsibility in maintaining global stability as Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto met with Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi in Tokyo on Tuesday, March 31, 2026.
The meeting formed a central part of President Prabowo’s official visit to Japan, highlighting the strategic importance of the partnership between the two nations.
“In the midst of today’s complex geopolitical dynamics, Indonesia and Japan must be part of the stability and the solution,” President Prabowo said in his opening remarks, as quoted by Antara.
The President emphasized that Indonesia and Japan are not only close friends but also long-standing strategic partners, bound by trust and mutual respect. President Prabowo expressed confidence that the bilateral talks would lead to concrete steps to strengthen cooperation across key sectors.
“I am convinced this visit will produce tangible measures that can be immediately followed up to further solidify relations between Japan and Indonesia,” he added.
