Indonesia Joins Pakistan’s Multinational Military Exercise “Team Spirit”

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia is among 19 countries taking part in Pakistan’s ninth International “Team Spirit” military exercise, which officially opened on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, according to a statement from the Pakistani military.
The exercise, hosted by the Pakistan Army, is being held at the National Counter-Terrorism Center in Pabbi, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province. The event aims to strengthen cooperation among allied militaries and foster resilience through collective training, Antara reported, quoting Anadolu.
The opening ceremony also marked the start of a 60-hour patrol exercise, underscoring the mission-oriented and task-focused nature of the drills.
Participating nations include Turkiye, the United States, Malaysia, Belarus, Egypt, Jordan, Maldives, Morocco, Bangladesh, Nepal, Qatar, Iraq, Sri Lanka, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Uzbekistan. Indonesia, along with Myanmar and Thailand, is attending as an observer.
Pakistan itself has deployed 16 domestic teams from its army and navy, supported by observers from the air force.
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the annual exercise is designed as a professional military competition, emphasizing mission-specific training and the spirit of camaraderie to build collective endurance. ***
