Indonesia Participates to Create Peace in Palestine

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia's participation and commitment under President Prabowo's leadership has played an active role. It ensured that the peace transition process in Gaza does not neglect the rights of the Palestinian people.

According to Haikal Hasan, all of President Prabowo's diplomatic efforts reflect Indonesia's consistent position of prioritizing the Palestinian cause as a foreign policy priority. He also affirmed Indonesia's active role in establishing world order through international cooperation and constructive dialogue.

Haikal Hasan, a national figure long known as a Palestinian peace and independence activist, made the statement when answering media questions in his office on Wednesday, 28 January 2026. He also appreciated the Indonesia's participation in the board of peace.

He said the body designed to oversee the transition, stabilization, and reconstruction of peace in Gaza, Palestine. In a Press Statement received by RRI Voice of Indonesia on Wednesday, 26 January 2026, Haikal believes that peace in the region can only be achieved if Palestine obtains complete and internationally recognized sovereignty

Most recently, in January 2026, Prabowo participated in the signing of the Board of Peace charter on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland. 

The body was designed to oversee the post-conflict transition, stabilization, and reconstruction of Gaza. These steps emphasized Indonesia's active role in fighting for justice, peace, and the rights of the Palestinian people at the international level. 

Meanwhile, Indonesia’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Sugiono conveyed that one of the President's main agenda items was the signing of the Board of Peace Charter, which is a continuation of a long process of dialogue and meetings between several countries, particularly Islamic countries and countries with Muslim majorities, regarding the situation in Palestine.

"The signing of the Board of Peace Charter is part of the process we have been undertaking to resolve the conflict, achieve peace, and resolve the conflict and post-conflict rehabilitation in Palestine, especially Gaza," the  Minister said.
