RRI.CO.ID, Lampung - Province of Lampung was introduced as a leading tourism destination located close to Jakarta. Lampung tourism practitioner, Arsya Oganara made the statement during an interview on the Voice of Indonesia broadcast program Hello Jakarta Hello Hongkong in Jakarta, Monday, 26 January 2026.
While discussing the potential of marine tourism and alternative holiday destinations, Arsya Oganara, conveyed that the beaches in Lampung remain well preserved in their natural condition and are available across many locations. “First, in Lampung the beaches are still natural, and there are quite a lot of choices,” Arsya Oganara stated.
She added that most beach destinations are located not far from the administrative center of Lampung Province. “Third, it is close to the provincial capital, Bandar Lampung City,” she stated.
Arsya further said that marine tourism is Lampung’s main attraction because vehicle access can reach areas close to the beaches. According to her, this condition makes it easier for both domestic and international tourists to visit.
In addition to marine tourism, Lampung also offers other natural attractions such as national parks, waterfalls, and mountainous areas. Arsya Oganara mentioned that tourists can visit Way Kambas National Park and Bukit Barisan Selatan National Park.
For underwater tourism, she said tourists can snorkel and observe dolphins in the waters around Pahawang Island, Pesawaran Regency. In the tourism development sector, the Lampung Provincial Government has stated its readiness to develop halal tourism.
“Lampung Province will prepare itself to be ready for halal tourism,” Arsya Oganara conveyed.
The practitioner affirmed that the diversity of tourism options is Lampung’s strength as an alternative destination close to Jakarta. She said Lampung can serve as a tourism destination offering a wide range of marine, natural, culinary, and shopping experiences within a single province.
