President Prabowo Reaffirms Indonesia’s Principle of Friendship at the WEF in Davos

RRI.CO.ID – Davos - President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto conveyed Indonesia’s foreign policy stance in his speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, on Thursday, 22 January 2026. Prabowo delivered the statement before world leaders, global business figures, and representatives of international organizations.

In his speech, Prabowo stated that Indonesia chooses peace over chaos in responding to global dynamics. “Indonesia chooses peace over chaos. We want to be a friend to all and enemy to none,” Prabowo stated.

Prabowo conveyed that Indonesia places friendship as a guiding principle in relations among nations. “One thousand friends, too few for us. One enemy, too many,” Prabowo said.

The President also said that Indonesia seeks to build good relations with other countries as part of the global community. “We want to be a good neighbor, a good, responsible citizen of the world,” Prabowo said.

On the occasion, Prabowo stated that peace and stability are prerequisites for growth and prosperity. He said there can be no prosperity without peace.

Prabowo explained that Indonesia’s policies are implemented by prioritizing unity and cooperation. He stated that Indonesia chooses friendship over confrontation in international relations.

He called on the international community to coexist peacefully. He stated that Indonesia will continue to participate in global cooperation that promotes peace and stability.
