RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed confidence that the restoration of the Prambanan Temple Complex will strengthen cultural cooperation between Indonesia and India, while praising President Prabowo Subianto's leadership in overseeing the project.

Speaking alongside President Prabowo in Sleman, Yogyakarta, on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, PM Modi said President Prabowo's strategic planning would help ensure the restoration is carried out efficiently and completed ahead of schedule.

"Today, I would like to say that President Prabowo, who is also a soldier, understands how to plan. Therefore, when he planned this restoration, there was a clear strategy. Based on that planning, I am confident the restoration work will be completed ahead of schedule," PM Modi said on Wednesday, July 8, as quoted on the Presidential Secretariat's official website.

Beyond the restoration project, PM Modi reflected on his three-day state visit to Indonesia, saying the hospitality shown by President Prabowo, the Indonesian people, and the country's rich cultural heritage left a lasting impression.

"From the moment I arrived until now, as I prepare to depart, President Prabowo has spent a great deal of time with me," he said, adding that every aspect of the visit had been carefully arranged, reflecting the close friendship between Indonesia and India.

"Every aspect of my visit and program was planned exceptionally well. President Prabowo's attention to detail in every element of my program, along with its outstanding execution, truly left me speechless," he continued.

Concluding his remarks, PM Modi thanked President Prabowo and the Indonesian people for the warm welcome extended to him and the Indian delegation.

"As a close friend, I would like to express my sincere gratitude, not only on my own behalf but also on behalf of 1.4 billion people of India, for the extraordinary welcome given to me and my delegation, as well as for the warmth, friendship, and affection you have shown us," he concluded. ***
