RRI.CO.ID, Rembang - The Rembang Regency Government speeds up Indonesia's Free Health Check (CKG) program to strengthen early disease detection. The update was announced in Rembang, Central Java, on Tuesday, July 14, 2026.

The program has reached 42.49 percent of its 2026 target population by the 28th epidemiological week. Local authorities continue expanding access and encouraging more residents to participate.

Head of Health Services and Health Resources at the Rembang Health Office, Soesi Haryanti, said the government remains committed to the national priority program. She emphasized that free screening helps people identify potential health risks before symptoms appear.

Soesi Haryanti encouraged residents to make greater use of the free service. She stressed that preventive health checks are essential for improving long-term public health outcomes.

"We continue pursuing higher participation so more people can benefit from the Free Health Check program. These examinations are important as a screening measure to identify health conditions at an early stage," she said.

The Health Office is promoting the program through community-based activities, including the Healthy Living Community Movement (Germas). Officials also continue educating residents that health checks should not wait until illness develops.

The 2026 program targets 675,501 residents across Rembang Regency. By week 28, 287,017 people had completed the free examination.

Health authorities urged remaining residents to visit community health centers or designated screening locations. The government provides all services free of charge to improve public health and disease prevention.
