RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Indonesian government is leveraging INNOPROM 2026 in Yekaterinburg, Russia, to strengthen the country’s position as a regional industrial and manufacturing hub.

As an Official Partner Country, Indonesia is showcasing its industrial ecosystem, supported by 180 industrial estates, integrated infrastructure, and a range of incentives designed to attract investment from the Eurasian region.

INNOPROM is Russia’s largest international industrial exhibition, held annually in Yekaterinburg since 2010. It is recognized as Eurasia’s premier platform for showcasing industrial technologies, fostering investment, and shaping industrial policy.

The exhibition typically attracts more than 100,000 visitors, over 1,000 exhibitors, and participation from around 90 countries. Each year, one nation is designated as the Official Partner Country, giving it a dedicated national pavilion to highlight its industrial strengths.

Indonesia’s participation in Eurasia’s largest industrial exhibition, held from July 6–9, 2026, is part of the government’s strategy to accelerate industrialization, downstream processing, and job creation by boosting manufacturing investment.

Industry Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita said Indonesia offers not only a large market but also a production base ready to grow alongside global investors.

“We want Eurasian investors to see that Indonesia is not only a large market, but also a production partner ready to grow together. We are presenting investment locations supported by increasingly competitive infrastructure, regulations, and services so that companies can quickly establish their production bases in Indonesia,” Minister Agus said in a written statement on Monday, July 6, 2026, as quoted by infopublik.id.

He emphasized that developing industrial estates is a government strategy to accelerate equitable industrialization and increase the competitiveness of national manufacturing.

Industrial estates are seen not only as operational sites but also as drivers of new economic growth centers, downstream processing, job creation, and added value for regional economies.

The sector’s performance has shown positive growth. As of the second quarter of 2026, Indonesia had 180 industrial estates accommodating nearly 12,000 tenants.

In 2025, these estates recorded realized investments of IDR 6,744.58 trillion, a 9.26 percent increase from the previous year, while absorbing approximately 2.35 million workers.

To highlight this potential, Indonesia is presenting five industrial estate managers as co‑exhibitors at INNOPROM 2026. They offer ready‑to‑build areas with infrastructure support, licensing services, investment incentives, and logistics connectivity to support manufacturing operations.

Director General of Resilience, Regionalization, and International Industrial Access at the Industry Ministry, Tri Supondy, said the participation of the five estate managers aims to accelerate business communication between potential investors and estate managers.

“We want to make it easier for investors to obtain the information they need. At INNOPROM, investors can discuss their needs directly with industrial estate managers, learn about available facilities and incentive schemes, and explore collaboration opportunities. We hope that meetings at this exhibition will lead to investments in Indonesia,” Tri said.

The five industrial estate managers participating are KI Wiraraja Indonesia/PT Galang Bumi Industri, PT Kawasan Industri Terpadu Batang (Persero) -- manager of the Batang Industropolis Special Economic Zone (KEK), Bintan Industrial Estate, Kendal Industrial Park, and the Indonesian Industrial Estate Association (HKI).

Executive Director of PT Kawasan Industri Terpadu Batang (Persero), Juliani Sari Kusumaningrum, noted that investors are now seeking not only industrial land but also ecosystems that enable faster business operations.

She explained that the areas she manages provide ready‑to‑build land, utility networks, fiscal incentives through the Special Economic Zone scheme, and logistics access connected to international ports, enabling companies to quickly commence operations and expand their businesses.

Through participation in INNOPROM 2026, the Industry Ministry hopes that promoting Indonesia’s industrial areas will encourage new investments to strengthen the national manufacturing sector, create jobs, and boost economic growth across regions. ***
