Indonesia Secures Rp19 Billion in Malaysia Trade Leads

RRI.CO.ID, Kuala Lumpur — Indonesia recorded potential transactions worth more than USD 1.17 million, or around Rp19 billion, from its participation in two international exhibitions in Malaysia in May 2026. The two events were Health Summit Asia, also known as SEACare 2026, and Franchise International Malaysia, or FIM 2026. Both were held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Kuala Lumpur.
Indonesia’s participation was facilitated by the Indonesian Trade Attaché in Kuala Lumpur. The Attaché in Kuala Lumpur, Aziza Rahmaniar Salam, said the achievement reflected strong interest from the Malaysian market in Indonesian health products and franchise brands. She said the exhibitions also served as strategic platforms to introduce Indonesian products and brands to the wider ASEAN market.
“Indonesia’s participation in SEACare 2026 and FIM 2026 recorded potential transactions worth USD 1.17 million. This achievement strengthens optimism over the export prospects of Indonesian health products and the expansion of Indonesian franchises in the ASEAN market. We hope these promotional efforts will further expand business networks and open up opportunities for cooperation with international partners,” Aziza said, as quoted from official statement on Monday, June 15, 2026.
At SEACare 2026, held from May 20 to 22, the Indonesia Pavilion featured four companies: PT Ocean Medika Indonesia, PT Kusuma Sukses Makmur, PT Oneject Indonesia, and PT Solas Langgeng Sejahtera. They showcased medical devices, pharmaceutical products, and health supplements. The exhibition resulted in eight Letters of Intent, with potential transactions reaching USD 190,500.
She said Indonesian health products received a very positive response from visitors, distributors, and health industry players. She added that the response showed the competitiveness of Indonesian products and the strong opportunity to enter the Malaysian market. “Indonesian products at SEACare 2026 received a very positive response from visitors, distributors, and health industry players. This shows strong interest in Indonesia’s innovative and high-quality medical devices, pharmaceutical products, and health supplements,” Aziza said.
PT Kusuma Sukses Makmur owner, Zelfiah Lahji, appreciated the support provided by the Ministry of Trade and the Indonesian Trade Attaché in Kuala Lumpur during SEACare 2026. She said the facilitation gave Indonesian health companies a valuable opportunity to introduce their products to potential business partners in Malaysia.
“The company is optimistic that the opportunities and business networks built during the exhibition can develop into concrete cooperation in the future. Therefore, PT Kusuma Sukses Makmur hopes to take part again in trade promotion programs facilitated by the government,” Zelfiah said.
Meanwhile, FIM 2026 was held from May 21 to 23. At the franchise exhibition, Indonesia presented several national brands, including Yummy Coin, Dawa Herbal, Roti Ropi, Leit Education, and the Indonesian Franchise Association. The event aimed to expand business networks and introduce Indonesian brands to potential investors and partners in ASEAN. From this exhibition, Indonesia booked potential transactions worth USD 978,710.
Aziza said FIM 2026 became an important momentum for Indonesian franchise players to expand their networks, explore market opportunities, and meet potential business partners. “This exhibition can also be used by Indonesian franchise players to find potential investors and buyers,” Aziza said.
She added that the results from the two exhibitions proved that Indonesian products and services were increasingly able to compete in international markets. “We hope more Indonesian products and brands will become known in international markets and gain broader cooperation opportunities to support the increase of national exports,” Aziza said.
Meanwhile, Roti Ropi business development staff, Safira Rahmawati also appreciated the Indonesian Trade Attaché in Kuala Lumpur for facilitating Indonesia’s participation in FIM 2026. She said the exhibition was a strategic opportunity to introduce Indonesian brands directly to the Malaysian market, while expanding business networks with potential partners and investors.
“During the exhibition, Roti Ropi received a positive response from the Malaysian public. In addition to the high enthusiasm from visitors, the company also established communication with several potential investors who are interested in developing the Roti Ropi business in Malaysia through various cooperation schemes,” Safira said.
