RRI.CO.ID, Singapore — Indonesian food and beverage products successfully attracted the attention of the global hotel, restaurant, and catering (horeca) market at the Food and Hotel Asia (FHA) 2026 exhibition in Singapore, recording export contracts and potential transactions worth more than Rp230 billion combined. The largest horeca exhibition in Asia was held at Singapore EXPO, Singapore, from April 21–24, 2026.

Director General of National Export Development at Indonesia’s Ministry of Trade, Fajarini Puntodewi, said Indonesia secured 14 export contracts worth US$3.17 million, or approximately Rp54.5 billion, for honey, organic spices, agricultural products, and other food and beverage products.

In addition, potential transactions worth US$10.3 million, equivalent to around Rp177 billion, were recorded for healthy instant noodles, organic snacks, fishery products, dairy products, spices, and other food and beverage products.

“The presence of Indonesian food and beverage products at FHA 2026 provides an opportunity to expand Indonesia’s market access to the global horeca industry. This participation also aims to strengthen relations between Indonesian businesses and Singaporean buyers,” Puntodewi said in a statement received on Wednesday, May 27, 2026.

She added that Indonesia’s participation in FHA 2026 is important to strengthen regional trade and supply chains amid global uncertainty. Indonesia’s Pavilion at FHA 2026 was the result of collaboration between the Ministry of Trade, the Indonesian Embassy in Singapore, Bank Indonesia, and Bank Rakyat Indonesia.

This year, the Indonesian Pavilion became the largest in Indonesia’s history of participation at FHA, showcasing food and beverage, agricultural, and fishery products from 40 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). In addition to MSMEs, 13 medium and large-scale Indonesian companies also participated, including Indofood, Savoria, and Orang Tua.

Meanwhile, Indonesian Ambassador to Singapore, Hotmangaradja Pandjaitan, said FHA 2026 provides opportunities for Indonesian MSMEs to enter regional and global food and beverage supply chains.

“Amid global trade uncertainty, the government’s role is important for MSMEs, ranging from capacity building and financing to promotion in global markets through exports,” he said.

Indonesian Trade Attaché in Singapore, Billy Anugrah, said the participation of Indonesian businesses in international exhibitions reflects ongoing promotional efforts to expand export markets for Indonesian food and beverage products.

“Indonesia’s food and beverage products are one of the backbone industries supporting the country’s exports over the past five years,” Billy said.

During the four-day exhibition, the Indonesian Pavilion was visited by more than 6,012 visitors from various countries. FHA itself is one of the world’s largest food and beverage exhibitions and the biggest horeca exhibition in Asia. FHA 2026 was attended by around 88,000 visitors from industrial sectors, importers, and manufacturers from 131 countries.
