Showcasing Critical Mineral, Indonesia Joins Canada Mining Convention

RRI.CO.ID, Toronto - Indonesia reaffirming its seriousness in critical mineral sector by joining the Mining Trade Show & Convention, Prospectors, and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) 2026. The event was held in Toronto, Canada from 1-4 March 2026.

In Trade Ministry's press release on Wednesday, 4 March 2026, an Indonesian company PT Multi Makmur joined the event. Their participation was deemed to reflect the country's readiness in global critical mineral ecosystem.

Hendra, the owner of PT Multi Makmur, expected to curate potential local and international companies for partnership. "We also wished this can support Indonesian mining export," said Hendra.

Hendra further remarked that the event might be able to share environmental management practices and company social responsibilities (CSRS). He appreciated the support by the Indonesian Embassy and Trade Attache in Ottawa.

Meanwhile, Indonesian Ambassador in Ottawa, Muhsin Syihab, affirmed the participation of an Indonesian company showed that the nation is ready for global critical mineral ecosystem. "This shows commitment to expand market access, investment entwork, as well as national mining sector to international investor," Ambassador Syihab stated.

Similarly, Indonesian Trade Attache in Ottawa, Mahdewi Silky, said PDAC was a good opportunity for investors to look closely Indonesian mining sector. She said it was a positive first step to reach global partner and investors in mining sector.

The Mining Trade Show & Convention, Prospectors, and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) 2026 is considered one of the world’s largest conventions focusing on minerals exploration and mining development. It gathers investors, mining companies, financing institutions, and government representatives from various countries worldwide.
