Indonesia Economic Summit 2026 Set to Convene

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Ahead of the Indonesia Economic Summit (IES) 2026, to be held on 3-4 February 2026 in Jakarta, the Indonesian Business Council (IBC) reaffirmed the role of IES as a strategic platform that translates economic dialogue into policy direction and concrete implementation.
The Summit brings together government, business leaders, and global thinkers to discuss Indonesia’s growth trajectory amid regional and global economic dynamics. According to a release received by RRI Voice of Indonesia on Wednesday, 28 January 2026, IES 2026 will examine economic policy directions to drive inclusive growth, boost competitiveness, create jobs, and expand access to markets, finance, and technology.
Carrying the theme “Coming Together to Boost Resilient Growth and Shared Prosperity,” IES 2026 will feature more than 100 speakers and participants from various countries, including senior government officials, national and international business leaders, investors, economists, and representatives of international institutions.
Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Arsjad Rasjid, stated that the enthusiasm and diversity of participants demonstrate that IES is trusted as a meaningful forum for dialogue.
Through IES, Trustees board aim to ensure that Indonesia is seen not only as a market, but as a competitive, high-value, and impactful investment destination that is closely connected to ASEAN and global economic dynamics, so that the opportunities created are truly felt by national businesses.
Meanwhile, CEO Indonesian Business Council, Sofyan Djalil, explain that IES is designed to consistently move towards concrete action.
He said amid global changes and structural change, Indonesia needs a growth model aligned with today’s realities, one that is inclusive, productivity-driven, and supported by strong policies and institutions.
IES provides a strategic space for open, evidence-based dialogue, ensuring that the reforms generated are not only well designed, but also practical and implementable. Participants will engage in a series of thematic panel discussions and roundtable sessions.
