RRI.CO.ID, Dubai - Indonesia’s Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) and the UAE-based Ayedh Dejem Group have signed a cooperation agreement for a mixed-use development project in Indonesia’s future capital, Nusantara (IKN), with an estimated investment value of IDR 4 trillion. The agreement was signed on Friday, 23 January 2026, by OIKN Deputy for Funding and Investment, Sudiro Roi Santoso, and Chairman of Ayedh Dejem Group, Sheikh Ayedh Dejem. This marks a significant milestone in strengthening Indonesia–Middle East investment cooperation.

The project will use 9.7 hectares of land in Core Government Area (KIPP) 1A, located next to Plaza Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. The planned development includes office spaces, commercial facilities, a shopping center, and a mosque, supporting Nusantara’s vision as an inclusive, sustainable, and globally connected capital.

Highlighting Indonesia’s economic outlook, Sheikh Ayedh Dejem expressed firm confidence in Nusantara’s long-term growth.

“Indonesia’s economy continues to show strong momentum. God willing, economic activity in Nusantara will grow rapidly, creating demand for high-quality, large-scale developments,” he said.

He added that Indonesia’s demographic strength, combined with Ayedh Dejem Group’s experience in real estate and infrastructure development from the UAE, one of the world’s major economies, creates a solid foundation for long-term cooperation.

On the same occasion, Deputy for Funding and Investment Sudiro Roi Santoso welcomed the agreement as a reflection of sustained international trust in Indonesia’s capital relocation project.

“Today, 23 January, OIKN and Ayedh Dejem Group have successfully formalized the allocation of 9.7 hectares of land for development,” he said.

According to Sudiro, the project will begin with detailed planning and design, followed by licensing procedures and contractor procurement. These preparatory stages are expected to be completed within approximately 18 months of the signing. Construction is scheduled to commence in mid-2027 and will be implemented in phases over the following five years, in line with Nusantara’s sustainability principles.

This cooperation builds on earlier engagements between the two parties, including a site visit to Nusantara and the signing of a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) on 8 May 2025, underscoring a long-term commitment to the project. The signing ceremony was also attended by OIKN Deputy for Social, Cultural, and Community Empowerment Alimuddin, along with senior officials from OIKN’s investment, financing, and public relations units.

Through strategic partnerships with global investors, Indonesia continues to position Nusantara as a “World City for All”, developed through collaboration, openness, and shared economic vision.
