RRI.CO.ID, Denpasar - The Ngurah Rai Immigration Office in Badung Regency, Bali, has made administrative data adjustments for 94 foreign nationals whose international flights were canceled due to the eruption of Mount Anak Krakatau.

The adjustment specifically addressed passengers aboard Citilink Indonesia flight QG-500 bound for Dili, Timor Leste, which was grounded after the aircraft failed to depart from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta. Immigration authorities updated border clearance records in the national immigration database to ensure impacted travelers faced no administrative penalties.

Thorough status checks confirmed that none of the affected foreign nationals incurred overstay violations as a result of the cancellation. Officials emphasized that broader immigration operations at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport remain fully operational and unaffected by volcanic ash in the Sunda Strait, with flight monitoring ongoing across all arrival and departure halls.

Immigration authorities reiterated that administrative flexibility and proactive monitoring are crucial to safeguarding tourist rights during force majeure natural disasters. "We immediately made data adjustments so that no passengers are administratively disadvantaged due to conditions beyond their control," Head of the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office Muhamad Novyandri said in Jimbaran, Badung Regency, on Monday, September 7, 2026, as quoted by Antara.
