RRI.CO.ID, Meulaboh - The Class II Non-TPI Meulaboh Immigration Office has officially deported four foreign nationals from China who were captured during a comprehensive joint surveillance operation targeting immigration violations across Aceh Province.
The enforcement action marks a continued effort by regional border control teams to tighten corporate visa monitoring and eliminate illegal foreign labor activities within remote industrial corridors.
"The four foreign nationals are the result of a joint immigration surveillance operation carried out synergistically by the Aceh Directorate General of Immigration Regional Office Team in the Meulaboh Immigration Office's working area," Head of the Class II Non-TPI Meulaboh Immigration Office, Nicky Avry Muchelly, announced in West Aceh on Wednesday evening, July 2, 2026, as quoted by Antara.
Nicky disclosed the identities of the four deported Chinese citizens through their initials: WP (52), LS (39), LD (62), and LS (55).
The administrative actions were triggered after a specialized investigation proved that the individuals had committed clear violations of their stay permits and operational terms outlined under Indonesian immigration law. Consequently, the group was handed administrative sanctions consisting of immediate deportation and a subsequent re-entry blacklist.
The legal basis for the enforcement stems directly from Article 75, paragraph (2), letters a and f of Law No. 6/2011 concerning Immigration, which empowers authorities to expel and bar foreign nationals deemed harmful to public order or guilty of non-compliance with regional statutory mandates.
The physical deportation process was coordinated through Kualanamu International Airport in Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra. The four individuals were boarded onto AirAsia flight AK396 bound for their country of origin.
Immigration officials verified travel documents, logged the biometrics into the centralized immigration network, and stamped the exit visas. Meulaboh immigration agents physically escorted the foreign nationals directly to the departure gate to ensure they cleared the boarding bridge and successfully exited Indonesian airspace without incident.
Nicky emphasized that the swift execution of this case showcases the tight, seamless communication channel maintained between the Meulaboh office and the wider Regional Office of the Directorate General of Immigration in Aceh.
Reinforcing this stance, Head of the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Immigration for Aceh, Tato Juliadin Hidayawan, said that his administration will aggressively expand random regional audits and cross-agency intelligence networks.
He emphasized that building strong inter-agency partnerships is the most effective tool to establish early warning detection systems against illegal foreigners trying to abuse tourist or commercial visas within the western tip of Sumatra. ***
