RRI.CO.ID, Gorontalo - Thousands of Civil Servants (ASN) within the Gorontalo Provincial Administration took to the streets on Friday, April 10, 2026, to launch a massive community service action. Stretching along the Bypass Road from the Langga Statue to the Governor's Office, the initiative serves as a direct implementation of the "Aman, Sehat, Resik, dan Indah" (ASRI), Safe, Healthy, Clean, and Beautiful, movement recently launched by President Prabowo Subianto.
Governor of Gorontalo, Gusnar Ismail, who personally joined the action, described the mobilization as a strategic step to motivate and provide a living example for the general public. By involving administration employees, the administration hopes to spark a broad behavioral shift toward sustainable environmental care.
"ASN do not necessarily have to go down into the drains, nor do they have to hoe or prune. We have formed work teams or field officers who have cleaned beforehand, while also providing them with work so they can develop," Gusnar explained during the event, as quoted by Infopublik.id.
The Governor clarified that the ASRI movement in Gorontalo is designed to avoid becoming a monotonous or static weekly routine. Instead, the regional administration plans to manage the schedule dynamically, rotating locations to ensure that the impact of the cleaning and beautification efforts reaches a wider area across the province.
"It could be that in a week or 10 days from now, we will move to another location. We will continue to develop these patterns to succeed in this national movement in Gorontalo," he said.
In addition to physical labor, the Governor emphasized the role of digital communication in magnifying the movement’s reach. He instructed all civil servants to share the activities on their personal social media accounts to ensure the message of environmental stewardship reaches citizens even in the most remote areas.
"Please make this go viral through social media so that people in all corners also know that there is a national movement like this. We must make ASRI a success in Gorontalo Province," Gusnar concluded. ***
