RRI.CO.ID, Banda Aceh - Aceh Provincial Administration has officially initiated a massive financial request for long-term recovery, submitting a comprehensive Post-Disaster Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Plan (R3P) to the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB).

This roadmap outlines a total funding requirement of IDR 153.3 trillion (USD 9.58 billion) to restore the region’s infrastructure and economy following recent disasters.

Aceh Administration Spokesperson, Muhammad MTA, confirmed that the formal documentation was handed over to the central government earlier this month.

"Yes, it is true. The Aceh Administration submitted the R3P documents to the central government through the BNPB on February 3, 2025," said MTA in Banda Aceh on Sunday, February 8, 2026.

As reported by Antara, he further clarified that based on the detailed assessment, the total recovery cost is estimated at IDR 153.3 trillion.

The proposed budget is distributed across various levels of governance and sectors. According to the recapitulation, IDR 41.8 trillion (USD 2.61 billion) is allocated for central ministries and agencies, while IDR 22 trillion (USD 1.38 billion) is designated for the Aceh Provincial Administration.

Additionally, the subdistrict and city levels require IDR 60.43 trillion (USD 3.78 billion), and the remaining IDR 29 trillion (USD 1.81 billion) is earmarked for the community and private sector's recovery efforts.

The R3P document serves as a meticulous database of damages, losses, and integrated recovery strategies involving local, provincial, and national stakeholders. To ensure the proposal aligns with national standards, technical collaboration is already underway.

"Specifically, a team from the Indonesian National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) has visited Aceh to conduct coordination meetings with the provincial team to align the R3P documents," added MTA.

Following the receipt of the documents, the BNPB is currently conducting a thorough administrative verification process. This will be followed by factual field inspections to ensure that the data provided accurately reflects the real conditions on the ground.

"Once the factual verification is complete, the BNPB will forward the results to Bappenas to prepare for the post-disaster rehabilitation and reconstruction phase," explained MTA.

The spokesperson emphasized that recovery remains a top priority across all levels of government. "The Governor of Aceh remains hopeful that all components will continue to unite for a better Aceh, rising together from this disaster." ***
