AI-Powered Motion Analysis Technology Targets Indonesia's Sports, Health Sectors

The collaboration aims to bring human motion analytics technology to Indonesia, enabling athletes, coaches, healthcare professionals, and researchers to analyze body movements more efficiently without relying on specialized laboratories or complex motion-capture equipment.

"For us, this is not simply about bringing in technology from overseas," Alita President Director Joseph Lumban Gaol said in a statement on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, as quoted by Antara.

"As a local technology company, Alita will develop its applications within the Indonesian context so that it truly meets the needs of athletes, coaches, and healthcare professionals in Indonesia," he added.

The partnership was introduced to the public during the Indonesia Sports Summit 2026 at the Jakarta Convention Center in Central Jakarta.

During the event, visitors were able to experience four Human Motion Analytics applications: AI Gait Analysis for evaluating walking patterns and mobility; Senior Functional Training to support elderly fitness and reduce fall risks; Rowing Performance Analysis to assess rowing techniques and movement efficiency; and Golf Swing Analysis to examine swing mechanics during training.

The technology uses AI-powered skeleton recognition to create three-dimensional mappings of human movement from standard video recordings. As a result, users do not need to wear body sensors or conduct assessments in particular motion-capture studios, as movement analysis can be performed using ordinary cameras combined with AI processing.

The simplified approach allows motion analysis to be utilized in various settings, including sports fields, training facilities, and healthcare clinics. Potential applications range from talent identification and athlete performance enhancement to injury prevention and rehabilitation monitoring.

Human Motion Analytics is part of Fujitsu Uvance, the company's technology portfolio that serves multiple industries. Alita has also joined the Uvance Partner program, a strategic partnership initiative designed to create business opportunities and expand technology adoption in partner markets.

Through the partnership, Fujitsu and Alita will explore how the technology can be applied across Indonesia by combining Fujitsu's expertise with Alita's understanding of local market needs and experience in digital infrastructure.

Both companies plan to identify priority areas for implementation while expanding engagement with stakeholders in the sports, healthcare, and education sectors. They will also assess the technical and commercial requirements needed to support wider deployment of the technology in Indonesia. ***
