The bronze became Indonesia’s 33rd medal at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games and the country’s second medal from shooting, adding to the overall medal contribution of the Indonesian contingent.
The Indonesian trio recorded a total of 1,720-36x points, according to Asian Games records.
South Korea won gold with 1,749-64x through Yoon Seoyeong, Song Jong-ho and Lee Gunhyeok. China took silver with 1,740-53x, represented by Su Lianbofan, He Shiyu and Yang Yuhao.
The Indonesian shooters made a strong and composed start, keeping their scores near the top of the standings while competing against strong Asian teams including China, South Korea, Vietnam and India.
A crucial stage came during the rapid-fire series, when athletes had only four seconds to fire five shots at five different targets, Antara reported. The scores remained closely contested on the digital scoreboard until the final shots were fired.
Indonesia eventually reached a cumulative score of 1,720 points. The team secured third place with 36 shots hitting the innermost scoring ring, known as inner tens or Xs. The result confirmed Indonesia's bronze medal position after a close contest with the other teams. ***
