RRI.CO.ID, Aichi, Nagoya - Indonesian surfer I Made Pajar Ariyana won the silver medal in the men's shortboard event at the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games. Pajar finished second after facing Japan's Kanoa Igarashi in the final round at Long Beach, Tahara, Aichi, Japan, on Tuesday, September 29, 2026.
In the gold medal match, Pajar posted a total score of 10.40, while Kanoa Igarashi recorded a score of 12.87, securing the gold medal for Japan.
This result saw Pajar take the podium as the silver medalist for Indonesia in the men's shortboard event. The medal is the culmination of Pajar's efforts throughout the competition, from the preliminary rounds to the final of the 2026 Asian Games surfing event.
The 2026 Asian Games surfing competition was held at Pacific Long Beach, Tahara, Aichi, Japan. Surfing was part of the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games schedule, which took place from September 24 to 29.
